Import-export trade between Benapole-Petrapole land ports has resumed after the four-days long holiday of holy Eid-ul-Fitr and May Day.
Benapole Port Deputy Director (Traffic) Mamun Kabir Tarafdar said this on Thursday (5 May).
He said that the import-export trade between Benapole-Petropol ports was closed for four days from 1 May to 4 May on the occasion of May Day and Eid-ul-Fitr. Import-export trade between the two countries resumed from noon on Thursday (5 May) after the holiday.
Abdur Rashid, the joint commissioner of Benapole Customs House, said that officials had been instructed to allow traders to unload goods quickly from the port.
