Bangladesh’s garments exports to the US market have increased by 188 crores 79 lacs and 8 thousand dollars, which is 60.30% as a percentage. This information has been gathered from the data source of the Office of Textiles and Apparel (OTEXA) of the US Department of Commerce.
Mohiuddin Rubel, Director and Spokesperson of readymade garment owners association BGMEA, gave the information on Monday (8 August).
According to the data of OTEXA, during the period from January to June 2022, Bangladesh’s garments exports to the US market were worth 501 crores 90 lacs and 7 thousand dollars. In the same period of 2021, the exports of garments products were worth 313 crores 10 lacs and 9 thousand dollars. According to that, compared to 2021, the export of garments products increased by 188 crores 79 lacs and 8 thousand dollars in the same period of 2022.
