19 companies are receiving President’s Award for Industrial Development-2019. Minister of Industries Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun said this at a press conference at Motijheel Shilpa Bhaban in the capital on Wednesday (3 November). State Minister for Industries Kamal Ahmed Majumder, Industries Secretary Zakia Sultana, and other senior officials were also present on the occasion.

The Ministry of Industries will award the President’s Award for Industrial Development-2019 for the fifth time to encourage the private sector and encourage creativity. According to the classification of industrial establishments, the award will be given to a total of 18 industrial establishments and entrepreneurs in three categories of six industries. This year, a total of 19 industrial establishments are being given the ‘President’s Award for Industrial Development-2019′ as two institutions have been jointly selected in two positions in two categories and only two institutions have been selected in one category.

BRB Cable Industries and British American Tobacco Bangladesh jointly became the first in the large industrial category. Mir Ceramic came second and Jaber & Zubair Fabrics came third. In the medium industry category, Bengal Polymer Wires came first and Noman Terry Towel Mills came second. Auko-Tex and Crimson Rosella Seafood jointly came third. In the small industry category, Promi Agro Foods came first, Madhabdi Dyeing Finishing Mills came second and APS Holding came third. In the micro-industry category, Masco Dairy Enterprise came first, Khan Bakelite Products came second and Raven Agro Chemicals came third. In the cottage industry category, Corr-The Jute Works came first and Samsunnahar Textile Mills came second. In the high-tech industry category, Walton Hi-Tech Industries came first, Information Technology Consultants came second and Summit Communications came third.
