56 expatriates received CIP honours in two categories. They were given this honour on International Migrants Day. At the event, the expatriates urged workers to become more skilled and go abroad to survive in the competitive future. This time 56 expatriates were honoured.
More than 1 crore and 20 lac Bangladeshis are working in 120 countries. They send at least 2.5 crore a year in foreign exchange. On Saturday (18 December), the Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment organized a function to honour all those remittance warriors.
Speaking as the chief guest, Foreign Minister A K Abdul Momen said that the annual remittance flow would exceed 100 billion dollars if skilled workers can be created through the training of expatriates.
