The Mongla Port Authority has exchanged views with the port users to speed up the import-export trade. The meeting was held on Wednesday (10 November), chaired by Rear Admiral Mohammad Musa, chairman of the authority, was attended by representatives of public-private port users’ organizations including Shipping Agents Association, C&F Agents Association, Khulna Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Rear Admiral Mohammad Musa, Chairman of Mongla Port, said, “Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has taken various steps and implemented development projects. As a result, the Mongla port has come back to life. During the outbreak of COVID-19, the Mongla port has reached new horizons of revenue earned and broke all previous records by handling the highest number of cargo ships that arrived.
He assured the port users present at the meeting of providing maximum services on behalf of the authority and called upon them to work together for the development of the port.
The meeting was also attended by senior officials of the Mongla Port Authority.
