Prototype test of plastic harvester completed

The non-profit organisation Our Cleaner Planet has completed testing of its first plastic harvester prototype to remove plastic waste from the sea. Now they are ready to test on a larger scale. And the organisation has set a target to start using plastic harvesters in full force by 2025.

In this process of removing plastic waste from the sea, it is possible to remove small plastic particles up to 5 microns. This harvester, invented by Hour Cleaner Planet, will be able to remove plastic waste from areas up to 60 feet deep from the surface of the ocean. The company wants to build a fleet of several such ships, each capable of removing up to 1,000 tonnes of plastic a year.
