Officials and employees of all levels of Chittagong port took an oath to build a developed and prosperous country in unison with Hon’ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. On Thursday (16 December), people from all walks of life took an oath during the main event held at the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad on Victory Day. They were connected to the program virtually. As per this, the officials and employees of the port took an oath from the Engineer Shaheed Shamsuzzaman Stadium. Students of all educational institutions of the port also took an oath at this time.
The port authority organized a colourful program on the occasion of the golden jubilee of independence and Victory Day. In the morning, the members of the board led by Rear Admiral M Shahjahan paid their respects to the martyrs by laying flowers at the memorial in the premises of Bandar Republic Club. Later, the Port Officers Association, Port Employees’ Council, and educational institutions paid their respects.
The Chairman of the Port Authority took part as the chief guest in the march past and display held with the participation of the students of the educational institution at Bandar Stadium. Later, he attended the reception of the greatest freedom fighters of the nation at Bandar Shaheed Munshi Fazlur Rahman Auditorium. In the afternoon, as part of the national program, the Prime Minister took an oath and a cultural program was held in the evening.
