Exports totalled a record 491 million dollars in December

A record 491 million dollars worth of goods were exported in December, even amid the COVID-19 situation. This is the highest export in the history of the country in a single month. This is 48% more than in December 2020. Exports have grown at almost the same rate in the last four months of the year.

An Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) update report released on Sunday (2 January) shows that exports exceeded the target by more than 25% last December. This is 160 crore dollars more than in December of 2020. Exports that December was worth 331 crore dollars.

During the last six months of the year, from July to December, exports amounted to 2 thousand and 470 crore dollars. This income is 16% more than the target, and 28% more than the same period last fiscal year. At this time of the last fiscal year, the export had been worth 1 thousand 923 crore dollars. In other words, in six months, exports grew by 547 crore dollars.
