In the first six months of the fiscal year, exports of ready-made garments to the US market grew by 46%. Additionally, exports to the markets of Europe and Canada have also increased. The Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) has released this information. In the non-traditional market, the export growth has increased by 24%.

In the first six months of the current fiscal year, Bangladesh has exported ready-made garments worth 1 thousand 990 crore dollars worldwide. Which was worth 1 thousand 554 crore dollars in the same period last year. As a result, export growth has increased by 28% in six months.

Bangladesh’s garments exports have re-emerged in major markets. Entrepreneurs believe that this growth has been due to the fact that garments factories were kept open during the COVID-19 period. Exports to Europe and Canada grew by 24%. Exports to almost all European countries, including Spain, Poland, the United Kingdom, Germany and France, have increased significantly.
