Australia will invest 1.2 billion dollars to help with Bangladesh’s economic challenges

Australia has decided to invest 1 crore and 12 lac dollars to increase its involvement in addressing regional economic challenges and to exploit new opportunities in Bangladesh’s digital sector. Of this, 1 crore and 14 lac dollars will be spent on shipping cooperation, natural disaster response, and the information exchange sector.

Besides, the country will invest 36.5 crore dollars in the Bay of Bengal area over the next five years. The Australian Foreign Ministry said this in a statement on Friday (11 February). It added that another 43 lac dollars would be invested in LNG supplies between Australia, India, and Bangladesh. 58 lac dollars will be spent on building infrastructure for Australian traders.
