A day-long international seminar was held at Chittagong Independent University (CIU) on the concept and implementation of commercial arbitration. Recently, CIU’s School of Law and Universiti Utara Malaysia jointly organised the event titled ‘A Glance at the Commercial Arbitration’.
In the seminar, the international depiction of commercial arbitration was presented and the various methods of resolving such disputes were discussed by the Dean of Universiti Utara Malaysia, Dr. Rohana Abdul Rahman. Welcoming remarks were made by CIU School of Law Assistant Dean Mohammad Belayet Hossain.
Ahmad Hanifitri and Te Su Ling, two case counsellors from the Asian International Arbitration Centre in Malaysia, spoke on the occasion as resource persons. The entire program was coordinated by Sanjana Hoque, a lecturer at CIU School of Law.
