Women are playing leading role in nation building: Chittagong Port Chairman

Chittagong Port Authority has celebrated International Women’s Day. On Tuesday (8 March), a discussion meeting was held at Shahid Fazlur Rahman Munshi Auditorium. Chairman of Chittagong Port Authority Rear Admiral M Shahjahan, NPP, BCGMS, NDC, PSC, was present as the chief guest. Board Member (Finance) Md. Kamrul Amin, Member (Harbour and Marine) Commodore Mohammad Mostafizur Rahman, Member (Engineering) Captain Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman were present as special guests.

Rear Admiral M Shahjahan, Chairman of the port, said that women are playing a leading role in building the society and the state. At present, alongside men, women are leaving their mark at every level with their ability and qualifications. Women are not neglected today, women are moving forward gloriously in sustainable development. Women officers and employees working in Chittagong port have played a huge role in the advancement of the Chittagong Port Authority.

At the time, he called upon the women to come forward for the implementation of Vision-2041 at the call of Hon’ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

The event was attended by the heads of departments, heads of sub-departments, heads of educational institutions, Employees’ Council leaders, Working Women’s Forum leaders, students, and guests.
