Import-export at Sonahat land port will be closed for 9 consecutive days

On the occasion of Holy Eid-ul-Fitr and May Day, all kinds of import-export activities through Sonahat land port have been declared closed for 9 consecutive days. All activities of the land port will be closed for 9 consecutive days till 7 May. The closure has been in effect since Friday (29 April).

Sarkar Rakib Ahmed Jewel, President of Sonahat Land Port Customs C&F Agents Association in Kurigram, said that the issue of suspension of import and export through land ports has been brought to the notice of Assistant Director (Traffic) of Sonahat Land Port, Commander of BGB’s Sonahat Camp, and Sonahat Land Port Import and Exporter Association.
He further said that the concerned officials including C&F Agents Association at Golakganj land port of Dhubri district in Assam state of India has been informed about the closure of Sonahat land port through a letter.
