A ship carrying another 13,000 tonnes of soybean oil has reached Chittagong port

A ship carrying another 13,000 tonnes of edible oil has arrived at the outer anchorage of Chittagong port. The Indonesian flagship ‘MT Sumatra Palm’ arrived at the port on Friday (6 May) at 2 pm carrying soybean oil.

On 27 April, the ship set sail for Chittagong port with 13,000 tonnes of edible oil from the Indonesian port of Lubuk Gaung.

This edible oil has been imported by the T K Group.

Earlier, 21,000 metric tonnes of crude soybean oil were unloaded at Chittagong port on Tuesday (3 May). These oils were imported by the top four companies in the country. Of these, Bashundhara imported 10,321 metric tonnes, Sena Kalyan Edible Oil imported 5,000, City Group imported 1,679 and Bangladesh Edible Oil imported 4,000 metric tonnes.
