Naval Safety Week has started at Chittagong port. It was inaugurated on Sunday (22 May) morning by the port’s board member (Harbour and Marine) Commodore Mohammad Mostafizur Rahman.
Naval Safety Week was inaugurated by flying balloons at the premises of Bandar Bhaban. Captain Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman, board member (Engineering), Captain Faridul Alam, Deputy Conservator (DC), heads of various departments, officers, and employees of all levels of the Naval Department were present during the inauguration.
After the inauguration, Commodore Mohammad Mostafizur Rahman gave a brief discussion on the importance and tasks of Naval Safety Week.
In addition, on the occasion of Naval Safety Week, banners and festoons have been hung on port buildings and various installations of the port highlighting the importance of naval safety.
