26 companies in the country have received the National Productivity Award. Minister of Industry Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun distributed trophies and certificates of the National Productivity Award 2020 at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in Dhaka on Sunday (29 May) afternoon. The event was organised by the National Productivity Organization (NPO) under the Ministry of Industries.
Coca-Cola’s soft drink marketing company International Beverages has won the first prize in the food industries sector in the large industries category, according to a press release from the Ministry of Industry.
Habiganj Agro of Pran Group came second. In the same category, Fair Electronics came first, Sheltech second and Runner Automobiles third in the steel and engineering sectors.
Envoy Textile came first in the textile and readymade garments sector. Pahartali Textile and Hosiery Mills of M M Ispahani came second and Karooni Knit Composite came third.
Nitol Insurance came first in the service sector of large-scale industries. Mir Telecom came second and Digicon Technologies came third. Only Service Engine Limited was awarded in the IT sector.
In the chemical sector, Premier Cement Mills came first, Kohinoor Chemical Company (Bangladesh) second, and Square Toiletries third.
Pran Group’s Sylvan Technologies came first in the steel and engineering sector in the medium industries category. In the textile and readymade garments category, Muscotex won the first prize and Index Accessories the second prize.
Only Millennium Information Solution was awarded in the IT sector. The first prize in the chemical sector went to BRB Polymer and the second to GME Agro.
Ahmed Food Products came first in the small industries category. Tohfa Enterprise won the second prize and Jarmartz won the third prize.
In addition, Super Star Electronics has been awarded in the micro industries category and Eastern Tubes in the state-owned industries category.
