Now that the price of everything, including transportation costs, and daily necessities is on the rise due to the increase in the price of fuel, Minister of Finance AHM Mustafa Kamal said that the impact of this price increase will be assessed. The Minister of Finance said these things in response to the questions of journalists at the secretariat on Wednesday (10 August).
The Minister of Finance said that when the price of fuel increases, the price of all things increases. This affects poor people and increases the rate of inflation. This is natural. But the government is working on the issue. Some initiatives are being taken to provide relief to the poor and people with limited income.
In response to the question of whether the impact of fuel oil price increase will be evaluated or not, Mustafa Kamal said, ‘Of course, it will be done. I have been repeatedly saying that if the price increases in the world market, it will also increase here. If it decreases in the world market, it will also decrease here.’
The Minister of Finance also said that it has been worked on before the price increase. The price has been increased by working. The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources has already informed us why the price of fuel oil has increased. He will not say anything beyond this. The Prime Minister will sit in a meeting with the ministry and all concerned.
