Number three warning signal in sea ports of the country

The low pressure in and around the northeast Bay of Bengal may intensify. Due to its effect, deep circulating clouds may be formed in the north Bay of Bengal and adjacent areas and stormy winds may blow in coastal areas of seaports. Due to this Chittagong, Mongla, and Payra seaports and Cox’s Bazar have been asked to show local warning signal number three.

This information was given in the weather forecast on Thursday (18 August) signed by meteorologist Dr. Md. Abul Kalam Mallik.

According to the weather forecast, fishing boats and trawlers operating in the north Bay of Bengal and deep sea should proceed with caution near the coast until further notice. Apart from this, light to moderate rain with gusty winds may occur at many places in Khulna and Barisal divisions, some places in Rajshahi, Dhaka, and Chattogram divisions, and a few places in Rangpur, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions. Also, moderate to heavy rainfall may occur in some parts of the southern part of the country. The precipitation trend may grow in the next three days.
