Sheikh Russel Day-2022 was observed at Chittagong Port on Tuesday marking the 59th birthday of Sheikh Russel, the youngest son of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
In the morning, CPA Chairman and the board members placed wreaths at the portrait of Sheikh Russel at the Bandar Bhaban premises. Chittagong Port Officers Association and the CBA also placed wreaths separately. Chittagong port arranged several programmes that included milad and doa mahfils, discussions and special prayers.
Impromptu speech, essay writing, drawing, quiz competition and discussions were arranged at all the schools, colleges and madrasas of the port, besides, sports competition at the port stadium participated by the students.
Md Zafar Alam, Member (Administration and Planning) as the Chief Guest distributed prizes among the winners at the end of the competition.
