A high-profile delegation from the Port of Colombo led by the Chairman of Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) Mr. Keith D. Bernard visited Bangladesh to further discuss requirements of Shippers and service providers.
The delegation included Managing Director of SLPA Mr. Upul Jayatissa, Director (Operations) of SLPA Mr. Lal Weerasinghe, Actg. Director (Marketing & Media) Mr. Sarath Dayananda among others.
At the visit, the delegation also held discussions and exchanged views with trade and industry stakeholders with the aim of enhancing connectivity between Chittagong port and Colombo and developing the networks with trade and industry stakeholders in Bangladesh to attract more volumes at the Port of Colombo.
Chittagong Port Authority Chairman Rear Admiral M Shahjahan and other senior officials were present there.
