BIDA, Bridge 2 Bangladesh ink MoU to boost investment

Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) and Bridge 2 Bangladesh (B2B) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on December 13, aiming to work together for improving investment in Bangladesh.

BIDA Executive Member (Additional Secretary) Md Matiur Rahman and B2B Vice Chairman Sajedul Chowdhury signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organisations at a ceremony held at the BIDA conference room in Dhaka, read a press release.

While addressing the event as the chief guest, BIDA Executive Chairman Lokman Hossain Miah said, “Bangladesh is now a role model for development. Power, communication, infrastructure development, per capita income, political stability, and phenomenal development in every sector has made Bangladesh the best investment destination now.”

Regarding the MoU between BIDA and B2B, the BIDA executive chairman said it will now be easier to promote Bangladesh in the outside world, especially to North American and European countries, and highlight the benefits of investing in Bangladesh. Sajedul Chowdhury said, from now on, we will work to highlight the investment environment of Bangladesh and bring foreign funding. Senior officials of BIDA and B2B, as well as media representatives, were present at the event.
