US Coast Guard ISPS delegation member Lt Commander Briarly Ostrander, Lt Commander Arving Sintron, and Charles Marsiruio conducted an area inspection at the Chittagong Port Facility and port-related area on January 30-31, 2023, and expressed satisfaction with the ISPS code-related security measures at Chittagong Port.
The delegation visited two off-docks of Chittagong Port Incontrade Limited Summit Alliance to evaluate the implementation of ISPS code in these institutions on 30 January in the afternoon.
In addition, a seminar was organized at the Chittagong Port Training Institute with 50 people including the members of the security department of the Chittagong Port and the PFSO/ Security Managers of all the port facilities and port-related areas.
The delegation made a courtesy call on CPA Chairman Rear Admiral M Shahjahan, at the Bandar Bhaban and highly appreciated his role in improving the security of the port.
