Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal has said, the revenue collection in 2021-22 fiscal year by the National Board of Revenue (NBR) was Tk 400 billion higher than the previous fiscal year.
He said the NBR collected Tk 3,016 billion as revenue in the past year which was Tk 2,616 billion in the previous year. The finance minister placed the statistics in Parliament on Tuesday (7 February) while replying to a scripted question.
Responding to a separate question, the minister said the government received assistance equivalent to some US$ 3.26 billion from different development partners for the budget in the last fiscal year. But marking a drop, there is a possibility to get the assistance equivalent to US$ 2.23 billion in the current fiscal year.
