CPA Chairman Rear Admiral Mohammad Sohail conferred National Integrity Award

Chittagong Port Authority Chairman Rear Admiral Mohammad Sohail has been conferred the Integrity Award in recognition of his significant work in 2022-23 fiscal at an informal ceremony at the shipping ministry.

State minister for shipping M Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury handed over the award in the ceremony attended by shipping secretary Mustafa Kamal, other officials of the ministry, and the heads of all organisations under the Ministry of Shipping.

Rear Admiral Mohammad Sohail was commissioned in the Executive Branch of the Bangladesh Navy on 1 January 1988. In his long service life, he held various important posts in the ships, bases, and headquarters of the Bangladesh Navy. Moreover, he won the NUP Medal of the Navy by participating in various professional pieces of training at home and abroad with utmost achievement.

He was awarded the National Integrity Medal and the Naval Chiefs Medal of Appreciation for his outstanding service and contributions.

Rear Admiral Mohammad Sohail served as the faculty (Directing Staff and Senior Instructor) of the Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC). He served as the Legal and Media Wing Director of the Elite Force RAB. He was awarded the President Police Medal (PPM) for his outstanding contribution.

He also served as Colonel GS in the Counter Terrorism and Intelligence Bureau (CTIB) and the Internal Affairs Bureau (IAB) at the DGFI Headquarters besides serving as Director of Submarine at the Naval Head Quarters. 

He assumed the chair of the Payra Port Authority, significantly contributing to the port’s development, including channel dredging. Recently, on May 2, Rear Admiral Mohammad Sohail took on the role of Chairman of the Chittagong Port Authority, the country’s primary seaport, where he is effectively discharging his responsibilities.
