The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has approved the draft ‘Bangladesh Offshore Model Production Sharing Contract (PSC) 2023’ for oil and gas exploration in deep and shallow seas to meet energy demand.
The approval was given in a virtual meeting on Wednesday with Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal as its president. Later, Additional Secretary of the Cabinet Division Syed Mahmud Khan briefed the reporters.In addition, the Cabinet Committee on Public Procurement approved a proposal to spend BDT 5 thousand crore on five projects under the Road Transport and Highways Department.
