Security Department clinches trophy beating the transport department by 3-2 in the final match of the inter-departmental football tournament held at the Shaheed Engineer Shamsuzzaman Stadium on 31 July. The Chittagong Port Authority Sports Association organised the football tournament.
This tournament spanned 28 matches, graced with an air of orderliness and festivity. The fair play trophy of the tournament was won by the team consisting of administration, secretary, planning and treasury departments. Mahbubur Rahman Sabuj, of the security department, won the golden boot as the highest goal scorer while Tanvir Reza, the goalkeeper of the transport department, won the Golden Glove as the best goalkeeper. Moreover, nine senior players were given special awards for their outstanding performance in the tournament.
Board Member (Engineering) Commodore Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman (E), PSC, BN attended the final match as the Chief Guest and distributed the prizes. Also present were the President and Director (Administration) of the Port Sports Association Md. Mominur Rashid (Deputy Secretary), Director (Security) Lieut. Colonel Mustafa Arif-ur Rahman Khan, Vice President of Sports Association Secretary Omar Farooq and General Secretary and Chief Personnel Officer Nasir Uddin along with other officials and leaders of the Chittagong Port CBA.
