Tipu Munshi said, ‘There has been a lot of improvement in Rangpur region, and there is more ongoing. The ‘monga’ is over. The government has started work on building an agricultural university in Kurigram. If there is a university here, students from all over the country will come here for admission. And it will be surrounded by economic activity.’
He mentioned that in the past, Rangpur region was lagging behind but now that is not the case any longer. He said that development work worth Tk 8.5 thousand crore is ongoing on both sides of the Teesta River. This will provide opportunities for building large-scale industrial factories.
