Kabir Ahmed has been elected as the new President of Bangladesh Freight Forwarders Association or BAFFA, an important partner in the supply chain of the country’s import-export trade and a stakeholder organisation of Chittagong port. He was elected president by a vote of the newly elected directors. Amirul Islam Chowdhury has been elected as Senior Vice President, Nurul Amin, and Khairul Alam Sujan as Vice Presidents. The committee has 15 members as directors. The Board of Electors released the results on Friday (7 January). The new committee will lead the organisation for the next two years
The 15 elected directors are Nasir Ahmed Khan, Aktar Kamal Chowdhury, Zahid Hossain, Md. Khorshed Alam, Md. Kamruzzaman Ibne Amin, Md. Alamgir Hossain, SM Mahbubur Rahman, Jannatul Firdous Akbar, Mazahar Hossain, AKM Fazlul Haque, Dolan Barua, Kazi Md. Mahfuzur Rahman, Mohammad Jahir Ahmed Sarkar, Mohammed Shah Alam and Sumon Howlader.
BAFFA is an organisation of companies engaged in the task of delivering import-export goods to their destinations. In particular, the members of the organisation take the export products from the exporters and deliver them to the designated destination of the foreign buyers.
