State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury, MP will inaugurate four development projects of Chittagong port on Sunday (2 January). The projects are; A new tugboat that will assist ships to dock at jetties, a newly built service jetty, a new mooring overflow yard, and a swimming complex.
The State Minister will attend the inauguration ceremony of the tugboat and service jetty in the area of the no. 1 jetty of the port at 10 am. After inaugurating these two projects, he will attend the inauguration ceremony of the new mooring overflow yard and swimming complex adjacent to the port sports complex. In the afternoon, a meeting of Bangladesh Shipping Corporation (BSC) will be attended by State Minister for Shipping and Chairman of BSC Board of Directors Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury.
