The UAE-Bangladesh business council will start its journey in March

Dubai is known as the hub of business communication between the Middle East and Africa. Dubai is also very popular as a port and marketing link with Europe. So the FBCCI is going to establish a joint business council with the country.

The council will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina during her visit to Dubai in March. The council will be co-chaired by the presidents of the FBCCI and the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry. At the inaugural function, FBCCI will highlight the country’s sector-based investments and export prospects.

This information was given at a preparatory meeting on Saturday (26 February).

FBCCI President Md. Jashim Uddin said at the meeting that the establishment of a business council with the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry will make it easier to gather the export market of the Middle East and Africa. Trade with Europe will also increase.

Nasser Ejaz Vijay, President of Foreign Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI), recommended that five sectors be included in the FBCCI’s presentation at the inaugural presentation of the Joint Business Council. The sectors are agricultural and halal food products, light engineering especially car parts, banking, and insurance, petrochemical and port management.
