BSC ship with 29 Bangladeshi sailors stranded in Ukraine

Bangladesh Shipping Corporation’s ship ‘Banglar Samriddhi’ is stranded at the port of Olvia in Ukraine during Russia’s military operation. There are 29 Bangladeshi sailors on board.

Bangladesh Shipping Corporation’s Deputy General Manager Captain Md. Mujibur Rahman confirmed the matter on Sunday (27 February).

He said that the ship ‘Banglar Samriddhi ‘ is anchored in the port of Olvia. The ship was anchored at the jetty before the war started. It was later removed from the jetty and kept in a safe place. After considering the situation, the ship has now been asked to remain in its previous position. There are 29 sailors on the ship. Constant communication is being maintained with them and they are all safe.
