Bangladesh’s first security surveillance equipment manufacturing plant has been inaugurated at Bangabandhu Hi-Tech City in Kaliakair, Gazipur. Recently, NM Ziaul Alam PAA, Senior Secretary of the Department of Information and Communication Technology, inaugurated the factory as the chief guest. Bikarna Kumar Ghosh, Managing Director of Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority, and Hugo Huang, President of Hikvision South Asia were present as special guests. The inaugural function was presided over by Gautam Saha, Managing Director of Excel Technologies Limited and Excel Intelligent Solutions Limited.
Excel Intelligent Solutions, a subsidiary of Excel Technologies Limited, the first and national supplier of Hikvision in Bangladesh, has set up the factory at the service building of Bangabandhu Hi-Tech City. Hikvision Digital Technology, China’s leading security surveillance solution provider, is providing technical assistance.
Speaking as the chief guest on the occasion, the Senior Secretary of the ICT department said, ‘Investment in the IT sector of our country is increasing. The establishment of this manufacturing plant is a perfect example of this. And the world’s top security surveillance products like Hikvision are being made in Bangladesh, this is a huge achievement for us.’
