The port authority organised a workshop on the 100% implementation of electronic delivery orders for the unloading of goods from Chittagong port. The workshop was held at the Port Training Centre on Tuesday (5 April) with the participation of shipping agents, C&F agents, and freight forwarders involved in the unloading of goods. The workshop was inaugurated by Port Chairman Rear Admiral M Shahjahan.
The workshop highlights the role of stakeholders in the 100% implementation of electronic delivery orders. During this, the benefits of implementing electronic delivery orders and the matter of saving time in the unloading of goods are highlighted. According to the workshop, the implementation of electronic delivery orders will enable faster delivery of goods with greater transparency.
The workshop was attended by senior officials of the port’s transport department, security department, and IT department.
