Export earnings increased by 23.24% in May

The country’s export earnings rose 23.24% to USD 3.83 billion in May. During the same period last year, Bangladesh earned USD 3.11 billion from exports. This is according to a report published by the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB).

Export earnings increased by 34.9% and reached USD 47.17 billion in the current fiscal year 2021-22, up to July-May. Of this, readymade garments (RMG) exports amounted to USD 38.52 billion.

According to the EPB, exports of home textiles, agricultural products, leather, and leather products have increased significantly in the current fiscal year.
