FBCCI is working on a master plan to meet global demand

The FBCCI, the apex organization of traders, is preparing a ten-year master plan to determine the necessary strategies for the needs of the economy in the coming decade. This information was given by the President of the organization Jashim Uddin at a press conference held at the FBCCI office on Saturday (4 December).

The FBCCI President said that the biggest challenge for the LDCs is to increase sector-based capacity to meet the changing global demand in the coming period. To tackle this challenge, FBCCI is going to set up an innovation centre to enhance the capacity of domestic industries. The concept paper regarding this will be submitted to the government next month.

Highlighting the recent visit to the United Kingdom and France, he said that the second and third generation of Bangladeshi expatriates have been closely associated with the main economies of the two countries. But they do not have much idea about Bangladesh. If we can connect those expatriate entrepreneurs with the international trade of Bangladesh, it will be easier to capture the main market of the two countries. With this goal in mind, the FBCCI has signed a memorandum of understanding with the mainstream trade organizations of the United Kingdom and France.

FBCCI Senior Vice President Mostafa Azad Chowdhury Babu, Vice President M.A Momen, Aminul Hoque Shamim, Amin Helaly, Salahuddin Ahmed, and M. A Razzak Khan Raj and the directors of the present committee were present at the press conference.
